Affabulations (2018-20)

A journey through the Fables of La Fontaine, Esope the Phrygian, Ibn al-Muqafa the Persian (Kallila Wa Dimna), Bidpai the Indian under the gaze of Toni Morrison.

Here begins the story of the show that Covid stole from us…
Two years ago, we started to set up a project called Affabulations based on the fables of La Fontaine, Esope and Ibn Al Muqaffa.
We are the children of the Busserine school, four classes (CP, 2 CM1 and CM2) in the first year, and four classes (CP, CE1 and both CM2) in the second year.
We are the teachers of these four classes who followed the children, sometimes even going up one class the following year.
We are the artists who accompanied this project, director, author and composer, costume designer, singer-songwriter, choreographer…
We are the parents who accompanied the project all along.

The project Affabulations is a production of Voix polyphoniques.
It was granted by the académie d’Aix-Marseille, the Casino Fondation, the Fondation de France and the Logirem Fondation, la Caisse des écoles, I.C.I-Les Grandes Tables de la Friche, and pupils parents associations of La Busserine.

The rehearsals and the performance was hosted in à l’école Busserine, in Petit Plateau de La Friche la Belle de Mai, in ZEF Le Merlan, national scene in Marseille.
