It’s Odd! (2011-13)
or the adventures of the SekreT Class in la Busserine
Based on a collaborative cultural project with more than 200 children from La Busserine school in the Northern Districts of Marseille, this book retraces the story of the process of creation experienced by children. They are the main actors alongside their parents, teachers and artists.
In this project, we are betting that by exploring the idea of recycling, children will follow processes of artistic creation. 5 classes, then 10 classes of the school, parents met and put to contributions, 25 children still willing during the holidays, sought, selected, recovered, accumulated, crowded, sorted, deconstructed, measured, taped, glued, pinched, transformed, named, loved, created, wrote, drew, animated, composed, played, shared, hats, avatars, and new marks, words, letters, alphabet, songs, and rhythms.
In this quest, the Little Adventurers have demonstrated unexpected resources. They proudly presented their book during asignature meeting at the bookstore «La Salle des Machines» in la Friche Saturday, on June 22, 2013.
